Wellbeing, Micro, Product, MVP
☕ Good Morning!
Welcome back from a hopefully energizing weekend. I hope you’re all ready to tackle the challenges ahead, but if you feel burdened with worries, which many probably are during these difficult times, I found the following helpful post written by Anne-Laure Le Cunff from Ness Labs. She quotes physician and researcher Martin L. Rossman, who “argues that worry is actually an adaptive function to better solve problems and imagine creative solutions. And worrying well is a skill anyone can learn.” Read the full post here.
🚀 Maker Stories
I read a few posts over the weekend on Tyler Tringas’ story and have to admit, it’s impressive. He fought passionately for his CleanTech startup, but when the funds ran out and with rising personal debt, he didn’t go back to a consulting job, he left New York, worked remotely and successfully built Storemapper, his “Micro SaaS” business. It connects with the “Worrying Well” post above, on how it might help you to “solve problems and imagine creative solutions”. With $60K of debt, Tyler definitely went on to show what is possible. You can read the post and more about Tyler’s journey here. You can also browse his helpful Micro-SaaS Ebook and learn more about Earnest Capital by visiting his website.
I’ve also added a short video below of Tyler speaking at a conference in Paris in 2016. He recounts his path to establishing and growing his Micro-SaaS business, which at all times remained cash flow positive. Apart from being able to work remotely and being in control of your time, the biggest benefit in his eyes was and is the opportunity to be “outrageously better” than the bigger players when attacking a specific niche. Much revolves around the community you foster and the customer communication you build and nurture. Your client is your best advocate!
