Now, Efficiency, Confidence, Ship
A very good morning! Have a quick look at the short video below, which was shared by Visualize Value. This is it, so let’s make a success of the week that lies ahead. Bonne Chance!
🌐 Newsbites
Good Medium article by David Sacks from Craft Ventures on Capital Efficiency, which is becoming increasingly important for all startups in light of the ongoing crisis. It’s all about the “efficiency of growth”. Read the full article and suggested framework here.
🌐 Maker Stories
A post by Benjamin Harrison on Indie Hackers, about why so often entrepreneurial developers can’t seem to stick with one idea long enough to see it through, often for fear of failure. This applies not only to devs but I am sure to many NoCode makers as well. Self-doubt must become self-confidence! Read the full story here.
🌐 Build, Launch, Monetise
OK, a little bit of Tweetstorm below. Collected a number of insightful tweets on building and shipping.
Back in January 2018, Marc Köhlbrugge captured the errors of non-shippers perfectly. True today as it was then. You need to launch and ship ASAP and then build further features and iterate as you go along. Don’t wait to build the perfect product or you will be overtaken in the meantime and you will kick yourself! Follows on a little from the Indie Hackers article above.
The Thread below by Michael Gill follows on from the above, on how to be a productive worker. I particularly liked item eight on his list, as I can completely sympathize with this!
Following on from the above, I recommend you watch Corey Haines walkthrough on the swipefiles.co build, which is part of the NoCode Rumble I mentioned last week. He also lists which NoCode tools were used and what the total monthly costs for the App are. Thanks for sharing with us on how it can be done on $218 per month!
Below a good Thread started by Yoroomie’s question, on NoCode Makers favourite tools. Carrd, Webflow, Airtable, bubble, Parabola and Glide are just a few.
KP comments on a good Tweet by Harry Stebbings showing human resilience and resourcefulness as well as the power and possibilities of Webflow! I am already a very big fan!
Lastly, Matt Henderson tweeted a milestone in his life. He ran away from home six years ago, became a Maker and now his business (an open startup) is running at $22K MRR. They said he wouldn’t amount to much. Congrats on showing such resilience and keep that drive and enthusiasm going!
With the following wise words from Naval, that’s it for Monday! Have a great evening and see you all tomorrow!
