The Code Killer? ☠️
☕ Good Morning!
Is No-Code, the code killer? In his Medium post, Richard Liu points out that until recently, many accelerators and incubators would only accept startups with technical cofounders or that had an MVP, either of which would often cost thousands of dollars. As can be seen in the overview below by Mario Noioso, No-Code platforms such as Webflow, Airtable and Zapier have changed the landscape radically. Gartner forecasts that these new platforms will account for 65% of all app development by 2024. It makes sense, as they enable “businesses to build practical applications quicker, cheaper, and efficiently.” Although this will impact simple web development, it will also enable experienced developers to build faster prototypes, allowing more time for complex tasks. 🚀 Make & Grow
Many find it difficult to gain followers on Twitter quickly or understand how to grow on the platform. Jose Rosado summarises his seven simple steps as follows: “lead with value, be authentic, network consciously, have a theme for your account, tweet more frequently, be consistent, and take note of what works for successful accounts.” The key objective as always to build a valuable audience, a community that finds value in what you are doing and saying. Other experts in this area include David Perell, Daniel Vassallo, Matthew Kobach and Jens Lennartsson. All have tweeted/written on this extensively. Read post.

💰 Funding
Tyler Tringas from Earnest Capital shares a post by Jerry Neumann from last year on the taxonomy of moats. The value of a startup partly depends on how easily and quickly competitors can copy them.
