Good morning, Wednesday is upon us! Wishing all Makers and Side Hustlers a productive and successful day!
๐ Maker Stories
I purchased Maker Minions by Michael Gill yesterday. Itโs a great compendium for any Maker, especially non-coders. It offers a large selection of ready-to-use, easy to understand and time-saving automations, using tools such as Zapier or Parabola.
Each automation lists a concise description and benefit as well as the applicable automation tool and integrated apps. There is also a template you can use for configuring each automation. Automations include tasks such as retweeting well-performing tweets, producing Google Analytics reports or receiving fresh news on your competitors. As a novice in this field, I created two automations in 20 minutes. Well worth the money, thank you Gill!

๐ Events & Podcasts
The Failory Podcast has launched, bringing us conversations with founders who have failed with previous ventures, but now run successful startups. As most founders have experienced, we learn most from our frustrating mistakes. The great thing is, that these learnings are invaluable and if we persevere and donโt give up, the likelihood that our next venture is a success is very high.
The series launches with four interviews, one of which is with Eric Bandholz, founder of Beardbrand. He tells his insightful story of how after a decade of failure he reached +$1M in revenue per year selling beard products. Listen to the full podcast here.
You can view their list of failed startups in their Startup Cemetery. A good place to do some research when planning your next project.
Product Hunt Radio also has a great interview with Pieter Levels from last Tuesday, titled โThe future of remote work and digital nomadismโ. As many of you know, Pieter is one of the most prominent Makers in the community, acclaimed for his 12 startups in 12 months journey back in 2014. From there also stem his successful products Nomad List and Remote OK. He also maintains a transparent #OpenStartup.
Among other topics, he discusses bootstrapping vs. VC funding, the importance of building a community and how he sees the future of remote work. Listen to the full podcast here.
Thatโs it for todayโฆ
