Good morning and welcome to a new (4-day) week! After an extended weekend for many of us, it’s time to get our butts back into gear and get things done!

On that note, I’m not sure, if you're familiar with GTD - Getting Things Done by David Allen. GTD is a great time management method that rests on the idea of moving planned tasks and projects out of the mind by recording them externally and then breaking them into actionable work items. Read more in this beginner’s guide to GTD.
🌐 Newsbites
I received the a16z newsletter on Saturday, and if you don’t subscribe, there are a number of good articles, podcasts, and resources for managing your business through the current crisis. These include:
Navigating the numbers with Jeff Jordan, David George, Caroline Moon, and Das Rush · Podcast from 3rd April 2020 · Listen here
How a resilient business model weathers a storm by Kristina Shen and Kimberly Tan · Post from 7th April 2020 · Read here

Another interesting and quicker read from the weekend is a post by Channing Allen, co-founder at Indie Hackers, titled “Some indie hackers are especially vulnerable in this recession”. It looks at which business models, such as the travel industry and online media, are being impacted the most by the current disruptions in the economy. Read the full post.
🌐 Maker Stories
I’ve been reading up on founder/maker Matt Henderson over the weekend. Back in January 2018, Matt along with Aaron and David got together with the aim of building 24 businesses in 12 months (read their full story here).

Matt comes from Montana, didn’t go to college, moved to NYC at 18 and made a name with a fake “Tinder for fighting” app that went viral. Read the full story here.
Matt and the team have now achieved a total of 20 product launches, including Press Hunt and Investor Scout. You can view all their launches here and, as an open startup, follow their revenue journey at SAAS Army, last update below.
The team also founded 021, an accelerator that backs indie hackers and side hustlers who want to build their own profitable side projects with VCs. All in all, a very impressive story from these young entrepreneurs!
🌐 Build, Launch, Monetise
While reviewing Matt Henderson, I came across “How much is my side project worth”, created by non-other than the Maker Pieter Levels. To use this calculator, you will need a bit of historic data and a few stats. Play around and see what yours is worth!
🌐 Events & Podcasts
On Wednesday, 15th April David Perell and Matthew Kobach will be hosting a free webinar on “How to Crush it on Twitter”.
Definitely, well worth joining, as both David as an experienced Writer and Matthew as Head of Social Media at NYSE have hands-on expertise to share. If you follow David on Twitter, you will have picked up on the regular insights and tips he posts. You can register here: Webinar Registration.
That’s it for today, and…
