Cookies, Lifestyle, Yeah, Easy
It’s Friday 🙂 As if that makes a difference these days when working from home! But what the hell 👊
I wonder how many of us now roll like Brad Feld and The Cookie Monster these days 🍪🤣

Good Twitter thread below by Jon Lai from a16z on how live streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube and caffeine are evolving from professional gamers to lifestyle streamers. This new industry is growing, covering categories from battle rap shows, falconry to travel. Its rise is a result of their personality, their interaction with viewers and the community which develops. This leads to higher engagement and greater monetization potential, something for all those Makers seeking new trends to look out for.. Read the full blog The Rise of Lifestyle Streamers here.

Derek Sivers! Not sure if you’ve heard of him, but if you have the following question should always play an important role in your life and decision process: It’s either hell yeah or no - never yes or maybe. Listen below to a short explanation by the man himself.
I also highly recommend his book Anything You Want: 40 Lessons for a New Kind of Entrepreneur. A reflection of his journey and entrepreneurial learnings, from professional musician and circus clown to online success. If you’re not up for a read, I recommend the 2015 Podcast with Tim Ferriss Show: Derek Sivers on Developing Confidence, Finding Happiness, and Saying "No" to Millions.

Have a look at this new Slack Channel which Jason Calacanis has set up, free for anyone to join. Already 3,000 founders and growing. Perhaps a good place to brainstorm that new idea and find a co-conspirator.

Remember Carrd, the static website builder? This brilliant tool was developed by the Maker aj. He also built HTML5 UP and Pixelarity, which are great resources for free and paid HTML websites. Below is a brilliant 30 mins tutorial by Bram Kanstein from Holland on how easy it is to build a brilliant website using this platform. Take an hour or two over the weekend to do this, it’s really worth it. Bram also founded No Code MVP, a course for those looking for a hands-on and pragmatic approach to kickstart and validate new startup ideas.
I hope the above has been of interest and help. As always, comments very welcome! Wishing you all a Happy Easter and Passover and despite the craziness around us, I hope you will be able to find a moment to switch off a little. Keep safe & see you next week!
